All Positions Football Camp
Anthony Newman's Sports Camps is offering a very educational and exciting Non Contact football camp to young football players. This camp will work on the fundamentals, which are the building blocks for great success on the field. Our camp will teach your athlete to understand their stance and proper angles. We train young athletes "act and react" on the football field and spend less time thinking. Fundamentals are the key to a successful athlete.
Camps Coming Summer of 2009
LINEMAN, LINEBACKERS AND DEFENSIVE BACKS:
This camp is designed to give each athlete an opportunity to receive concentrated work in the areas of skill and coordinated movement. This will aid each athlete in developing the ability to perform at the peak of his potential. Not only are these the most unsung positions on the field, but they also contribute the most to the success or failure of every game.
QUARTERBACKS, WIDE RECEIVERS, RUNNING BACKS:
These are the most skilled positions in football! They demand a great deal of discipline and correct repetition in perfecting the skill and techniques necessary to perform at these positions. In most cases, fall team practice cannot devote the individualized attention and concentration in these areas.
Camp highlights include: SPARQ TRAINING
What is SPARQ?
SPARQ stands for Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction and Quickness - all the abilities that you will need to develop as a young athlete to compete on the football field. Here at Anthony Newman's Sports Camps, we have joined forces with SPARQ Training to develop young football players from ages 8 to 14 to help improve their speed and explosiveness. The great thing about SPARQ Training is that the drills are focused on training for movement, which is the foundation of all athletic training. At the start of our football camps, we have certified SPARQ trainers take each kid through athletic testing. This will give us an idea where your child stands at this stage of their young careers – and the ability determine the best way to help them improve. During the first hour the camp, SPARQ trainers will run the kids through different “SPARQ” drills, to help them improve their times and overall athletic abilities.
